A bitter and painful reminder for the visitors of the gulf between the former Division 1 Champions and the Division 2 players. The Cardigan Arms were ruthless in their demolition of their opponents seeking to underline their credentials as favourites to regain the Division 1 crown. Only an under par John gave the visitors any hope of a leg but even then he was always in control.
Stephen got the ball rolling with a 14k+ exhibition at the expense of an out of sorts Lorin. Leanne then saw off Sonya with ease, despite some glimpses of real progress from Sonya. Ian put in his best ever league score against Simon but it was never going to get close to his 4k and 2k+ breaks. It was 3-0 and victory to The Cardigan within the blink of an eye.
In the fourth John seemed unsettled and gave away plenty of chances to his opponent, however Stuart wasn’t quite able to capitalise despite earning his own highest league score.
Jase finished off the rout with Andy coming a distant second in the final leg.
