A fabulous game played in competitive spirit and real camaraderie
st leg saw Damo start with 2k and score a decent 6k+ overall – but Terry had many opportunities and showed what an improved player he has become. Very unlucky to lose a break in the middle of the game that was approaching 1k.
nd leg began with a confident opening break by Mark. A question had been asked of in-form Stew – who again rose to the challenge and delivered with a 6k to Mark’s impressive 2k+.
rd leg began with Rachel playing all the good shots and Andy supplying the bad ones! Eventually the experience told, Andy got the break back and managed to post a respectable winning score of 4k+ albeit in a couple of visits.
th leg saw Nenecupper in action with the break. He didn’t start well and when Adam knocked in an impressive 1080 break alarm bells were ringing. After a lot of mixed fortune at the bottom of the table Adam got the break back – another 1300 looked to be tipping the leg in his favour – unfortunately he put a ball right in the middle of the table and failed to hit it. Nenecupper majestically rolled back the years and secured a much needed, confidence boosting win. Unlucky Adam who had come so close to an impressive winning leg for the Rose – but consolation with a very well deserved “player of the match” award.
th leg was Karl against Chas. Karl gave Chas an early chance which he failed to capitalise on. Close-ish all the way through although Chas was always in charge. Karl showed some nice touches and proved that his stats of 3 wins from 5 games are no fluke. A win for Chas but a really good game played by Karl and more wins seem very likely!!
