Recap
Possibly our last billiards game for a while – so nice to go out on a win
Jim again set the tone with a very assured 5890 against Nick who had no answer against Nenecupper’s rich vein of form
Damo and Mick went to and fro until Damo stepped in with a decent break to secure the leg and another Master’s premier league outing (if it happens?)
Aidan started like a train – playing really, positively and racking up a great opening break of 2.5k – a well deserved “player of the match” was already a possibility. Chas just couldn’t get the break back despite his best efforts. Aidan went on to secure the leg and a unanimous vote for “player of the match”
Stew v Mick saw a couple of canny players have a few chances with Mick looking like he had nicked it towards the end. Disaster struck as he knocked a pin over giving Stew a last chance for victory. Our “possibly 3rd best player” stepped up to secure the leg
When Martin missed, early on, in the 5th leg it was always going to be an uphill battle. Andy continued his recent upturn in form to hit another 10k+ score
A great night played with a team that has real potential to rattle a few cages next year
