The first game saw Dave take on Kevin and the fact that Dave’s opening break was less than a thousand should have given Kevin a lift but he struggled on what could only be described as a good ‘home’ table. Dave got going thereafter with two good breaks and ended up with well over 7k. The 5th leg was brought forward to second and Martin got the break with ease but was caught out by the split shot. Ian had a couple of breaks but missed the one-up on both occasions. Martin’s luck, however, was not in as he pinned several scores handing Ian the game. Rob’s game against Mick could not be described as a classic but at least it was very close! Dawn played well in the fourth against Tony, pushing him all the way. A good break toward the end of the game made it look more comfortable for Tony than it really was. Ted got the break going well in the final leg but seemed to struggle at the top of the table. A couple of 1k+ breaks from Jim put some daylight between them and the match was all over.
