In the first leg Ted did not get many chances and the game was over early on. Martin started the second game and missed early to give John a chance. John got himself in front with a couple of breaks which gave him about a 2k lead. Martin did attempt a valiant chase at the end but left it too late. Kevin started the third leg confidently with around 2,300, both Kevin and Stephen then struggled for a few minutes until Stephen eventually got the break back and ‘banked’ a nice 6k. The Cardigan now looking comfortable with their 3-0 lead it was down to Mick stop the rot – which he duly did even though Michelle played some very good shots during the game it was not enough to give the hosts a 4-0 lead. Finally Dawn started the 5th in determined form with around 2k against the in-form and unbeaten Leanne. Even though she left it late, Leanne came back with a fantastic 2,500 break to put herself in the lead and then got the break back again to put the game out of Dawn’s reach. Another great victory for The Cardigan even though it transpired not to be enough to keep them in the top spot for now.
